Fold is designed for manual and power wheelchairs, and can accommodate many mobility scooters and other mobility devices when their wheelbase, dimensions, and combined weight fit within the platform and the 1,200 lbs combined capacity. The platform is 48 in long x 36 in wide x 1 in high, so most devices roll straight on without a ramp. Compatibility depends on the actual dimensions of your device rather than its category.

Fold measures everything on the platform — you, your wheelchair, and the equipment on it — as one combined load. The Fold Health app then subtracts the chair weight you have saved, so you see your body weight. You can enter your chair weight directly or choose a supported chair from the Fold Health chair library.

Fold supports up to 1,200 lbs combined user + wheelchair + equipment. The capacity applies to the total load on the platform, not only body weight — this matters most with power wheelchairs, where the chair alone can weigh several hundred pounds before the user and equipment are added.

Fold should be used on a hard, level surface. Soft carpet, thick rugs, mats, or uneven flooring can affect how load is transferred through the platform and may affect the consistency of the reading. Tile, hardwood, vinyl, and concrete are all suitable.

Unfolded, Fold is 48 in long x 36 in wide x 1 in high. Folded, it is 36 in long x 24 in wide x 2 in thick, so it stores upright against a wall, under a bed, or in a closet without taking permanent floor space. Fold weighs 23 lbs.

The scale shows your combined reading on its own backlit display, with date, time, and battery level, so it works without a phone. The app is what subtracts your saved chair weight and keeps your history, so you need it for your body weight and for trends over time. Fold Health supports Android and iOS 14 or later and connects over Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0+.

Fold includes a 2-year limited hardware warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use, and eligible purchases may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
